Privacy Policy
App name: Aura | Last updated: May 11, 2026
Aura is a personal AI assistant app. This policy explains what data Aura accesses and how it is used.
Google Calendar Access
Aura requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events OAuth scope to read, create, update, and delete calendar events solely to perform actions you explicitly request. Aura does not share your calendar data with third parties for advertising or any purpose beyond generating your requested response.
Data Collected
- Google account identifier — to associate your session
- Calendar events — read on request; specific fields accessed include event title, start/end time, description, location, and attendee list as returned by the Google Calendar API
- Stored calendar event data — event title, start/end time, and description may be retained to deliver personalized notifications and scheduling reminders
- Messages you send to the assistant — to generate responses
Data Storage
- Selected calendar event fields (title, date/time, description) may be stored for up to 90 days to power personalized notifications and assistant reminders. This data is not used for advertising or shared with third parties.
- Chat messages may be stored for conversation history
- No data is sold or shared with third parties
AI / ML Model Training
When you ask the assistant a question that involves your calendar, relevant event data is included in the request sent to Anthropic Claude or Google Gemini to generate a response. This data is processed by those services under their own privacy policies. Aura does not use your Google user data to train any AI or ML models, and does not permit third-party AI providers to use your Google user data for model training purposes. Stored event data used for notifications is never used for model training.
Third-Party Services
